Free VoIP Reviews

Choosing a VoIP provider can be time-consuming if you’ve never done it before. There are hundreds of vendors to choose from, and they each have subtle differences that distinguish them from one another.

Here is a quick look at some of the popular VoIP providers:

DLS

DLS is a great choice for a small business if you’re for a cheap monthly plan. They allow you make an unlimited number of inbound and outbound nationwide calls, and their phone service comes with free features like advanced call routing, enhanced voicemail, and unlimited mirror extensions.

The optional modules are where the costs start to add up. They charge for local and toll free numbers, conferencing bridges, email to fax, and access to a predictive dialer. All in all, though, they’re one of the best deals you can find.

Vocalocity

Vocalocity costs a bit more than most providers, but offers some of the best service available. Their audio quality is particularly good, and they don’t require a contract to use their service. They also have a U.S.-based customer support team that can provide assistance at any time of day.

They can provide access to many phone features, including call parking, call queues, and paging groups. They are also a Whichvoip.com Preferred Provider of Business VoIP and were selected as the Editor’s Choice for Business VoIP at VoIPReview.org.

Jive

Jive offers business-class hosted VoIP service at a much lower price than most legacy systems. They have five different monthly plans that can support 1-4 users, 5-9 users, 10-24 users, 25-49 users, and 50+ users. All of these plans provide unlimited phone calls and require a month-to-month contract.

Jive can provide access to a robust set of phone features, including caller identification, call recording, virtual extensions, desktop integration, custom schedules, and a dial-by-name directory. They also offer a free demo so you can try out the solution ahead of time and see how well it works at your company.

Aptela

Aptela stands out from several other vendors in that they have fully customizable calling plans. You can choose which features you’d like to have and whether you’d like local or toll-free numbers. They also offer free unlimited domestic and long distance phone calls to anywhere within the United States and Canada.

They don’t require you to sign a contact, so there’s no long-term commitment to keep using them if you become dissatisfied in any way. Their software has also won numerous awards, including the 2010 Internet Telephony Product of the Year and the 2010 Unified Communications Product of the Year.
